This Privacy Policy describes how eko ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our social media application.

User-Provided Information: We collect the information you provide when you create an account and any content you post to the platform.
Device Identifier: When you use the app, we generate and store a random, anonymous device ID (UUID) on your device. This identifier cannot be linked to any information you have not explicitly provided, such as your IP address or location.
2. How We Use Your Information
App Functionality: Your device ID is used to enable core app features such as push notifications.
Analytics: This device ID may be used internally in aggregate to understand how users interact with the app.
3. User-Generated Content
Public Nature of Posts: Posts on this platform are not encrypted and are not private. Any information you share in a post can be seen by others.
Ownership: You retain full ownership of the content you post. We do not claim ownership of your data.
Usage: We will not use your content for any purposes outside the operation and display of the app.
Post & Comment Deletion: To encourage thoughtful posting, individual posts and comments cannot be deleted for a period of time after they are created. Once that period has passed, you may delete them freely from within the app.
Moderation: We reserve the right to delete any posts or accounts at our sole discretion to maintain the integrity and safety of the community.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third-party companies for any reason, including advertising. There are no third-party ads in this app.
No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use any third-party analytics services. All analytics are handled internally.
5. Children's Privacy
Our services are not designed for, or directed toward, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Your Rights
You can manage your posts and account settings directly within the app. Note that individual posts and comments cannot be deleted for a period of time after creation. Deleting your account is never restricted. When you delete your account, all personal information and data associated with it, including your posts, comments and device identifier, is permanently deleted. No additional request is required.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
